The Usual Suspects

Gio Washington-Wright's Top L.A. Studio Musicians Tribute Site

Gary Foster is a musician's musician - and everyone in L.A. looks up to him. He is one of the patriarchs of the L.A. studios. His playing is flawless on all woodwinds. I really dig his improv vibe, which is straight out of Lee Konitz, Warne Marsh, and Lennie Tristano. He is a great person - and a huge advocate of jazz education. One of my favorite players.
