THE USUAL SUSPECTS

Dr. Gio Washington-Wright's Top Los Angeles Studio Musicians Tribute Site

Listen to an AWESOME interview of Jerry about his life and career here:
http://www.lastudiomusicians.net/Jerry Hey on JPR.mp3
(this interview is over an hour long!)

The interview also includes commentary by:

Gary Grant
Cindy Hey (Jerry's wife)
Chuck Findley
and
Arturo Sandoval

Due to the HUGE success of the Jerry Hey Tribute Page (by far, the most popular page on this site), I have decided to dedicate another page to him. Without a doubt, Jerry has provided us with some of the greatest musical thrills of our lives. Here are a few more of my favorite Jerry Hey  horn parts - GW... NOTE: all of these clips have been edited!

"Ducktales Theme" - Mark Mueller

I always loved the theme to this cartoon growing up. I'm almost certain that this theme is played by Jerry and the Hey horns. The horns have that signature sound (anyone who's followed them knows that "sizzle". No other horn section on the planet sounds like them). Also, the horn arrangement has all of his writing style, including his trademark "stinger" at the end of the short version.
